This course introduces students to specialized technical vocabulary and strengthen their overall language proficiency. This course aims to develop the ability to understand and synthesize technical documents, as well as follow scientific conversations in professional settings.
Prerequisites: Foundational knowledge of English grammar and basic vocabulary.
Course Content:
Reading Comprehension: Analysis and interpretation of texts specific to the field of chemistry.
Listening Comprehension: Note-taking, summarizing, and presenting information based on authentic scientific outreach videos.
Oral Expression: Delivering scientific presentations, exchanging technical data, professional phone communication, and non-verbal communication skills.
Written Expression: Extracting key ideas from scientific papers, drafting technical reports, professional correspondence, and preparing CVs and cover letters for internships or job applications.
Objectives: To acquire and improve one's English language skills.
Recommended prior knowledge : Basic English vocabulary and grammar
Assessment method : Exam : 100%
