INTRODUCTION TO RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

Expectations and Goals

The course aims at equipping third-year students of English at the University of Ziane Achour- Djelfa with basic concepts related to research methodology. The primary objective behind the courses is to enable students to identify appropriate research topics by defining research problems and parameters. Students are expected to deliver a full research proposal by the end of the course. These proposals should comprise a clear problem, problematic, research questions, a hypothesis, and a well-thought-out methodology. Furthermore, students are expected to understand the importance of adherence to strong ethics when conducting research as well as the damaging consequence of plagiarism and academic dishonesty.
